My Story

Jacquelyn Pavelko, Owner and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist of Mobility Etc. graduated from Western Michigan University in 2006 with her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies, and decided she wasn't done. In 2007, she continued her education at WMU, and graduated with a Master of Art in Orientation and Mobility. She has worked in California for the VA Hospital, 2 nonprofits in Charlotte, NC and Savannah, GA.

She moved to Virginia in 2010 to work for a contracting company. In 2014, she opened Mobility Etc. and started accepting part time contracts. In 2018, Mobility Etc. was operating independently. Jacquelyn not only runs her business full time, but works full-time providing O&M services, supervising interns, attending the UMass Boston Assistive Technology Program for the Blind/VI, and caring for her family.

With the support of her husband and family, it has been the best endeavor. She couldn't be more thankful for the support of her family and clients. We continue to grow and would love to hear from you.

We all have a passion. I found my passion in working with people who are blind and visually impaired.

People ask, "Do you really love your job?" I can confidently say, "YES! Yes, I do. All day long."
